SS wear rings
I am going to install SS wear rings in both skis. the RXP and T-X.
I have read the directions about how to and have this quetion. Is there any different instructions to installing the SS wear ring compared to the plastic stock wear ring. Just wanted to get heads up before the swap. thanks.
I suppose the freezer method does not work on the SS ring going into pump or coming out.

put the ss wear ring in the freezer and sit the pump out in the sun for a couple if hours. Makes life so much easier

I put my ss wear ring in a couple of weeks back. The wear ring was in the freezer for 24 hrs but I did'nt heat up the pump. HUGE mistake. I was really sweating it that it was'nt going to go all the way in. A 3lb. sledge and two pieces of 2x4 later it finally seated all the way. If I had it to do over I would REALLY warm up the pump, and use some ky lube. Um, ky on the pump

So how do you remove the SS wear ring ? If the pump extensions become available it would be nice to be able to remove it.
