I removed all of mine, I also cut up the plastic under the hood to allow more air flow. I noticed last week that after the ski was upsidedown for maybe 30 seconds or 1 minute the ski had gallons and gallons of water. This has me worried because it never happened before I removed everything and cut the hood structure and it usually gets flipped when riding hard with two up. I will be installing a bildge before the 5 day camping trip in a couple weeks.

I just took off the lower section. The vent is 2 pieces and comes apart. I have the Riva powerfilter extended to sit right next to the upper section. Got you thinking about free intake mods hugh. LOL

Cody any problems with water comming in from the rear opening when you removed the rear vent duct?

Took out all of mine and never an issue--not even one drop of water. This is the second year --riding year round.

    Lurker,

How in the world do you flip an RXP

All of those bends and hoses are designed so that if the ski gets fliped there are no hull penatrations below the waterline.

You have to relize that if you remove all of this, without those installed you could fill a ski full in 10 seconds and make it even worse trying to flip it back over.

So make sure the performance gain is worth the risk
