    boost flucuates

I have a 05 RXP with all stage III with rude. I have a boost problem. I will be running 12PSI 2100 agl and drop to 10.3 and lose 250 rpm then it comes back. I have found no leaks. Is this caused by the blow off valve? I dont think I have a leak because I can get 12PSI.Any Ideas?

I dont have 3 hours on the rude since the head gasket blew on the first run. How do I shim it?

Well then that might not be the case. Sure sounds like a slipping clutch but it could be a boost leak. Are you running a BOV? If so remove it and block it off.

Yes I am running BOV. Riva sais it can be adjusted by turning out until you dont feel tension and then turn it in. I dont have a boost leak or I could not see 12 PSI like I do until it drops and then comes back.

Do yourself a favor. Remove the BOV and block it off

Make you a block off plate out of a spare inner OPAS blockoff plate or cut one out of aluminum sheet. Use plenty of silicone and bolt it down.

did not have time to make a plate today but adjusted the screw all the way in the bov and got 10.9 to 11.8 all day today at 2100asl. Finally saw 81 today for the first time! Yea Haw, finally. My son who weighs 180 instead of my 240pds got 82.2. Hope my Gibson arives the first of the week and I will make a plate for the bov and hope to see more MPH. Thanks for the advice Jerry.
