Well SCer maintenance and look what I found!
Guys this was the SCer I bought that came off of TWO2's ski.
After reshimming it, I decided to pull it apart as I had some silver dust in the IC hoses. Look what I found. I know they are supposed to touch some, but Is this normal? This SCer was sent off by mike to be rebalance and trued from mark at Racetech after it had a touch down before. I just need to know if most look like this. I have seen most have slight to moderate touchdowns , but not like this.
What do you guys think? Still good to go????

Doesn't look that bad. The scores you see in the impeller are from the previous touch down. I remember when Mike sent that impeller off to be rebalanced. you are good to go.
Make sure you don't have a lot of "in out" play in your shaft that would cause a touch down.

Jerry, Mark rebuilt it before it was sent to me. i think it has like 15 hours on it. I just didn't like the excessive Silver dust. It has no in out play and was at 70ish in lbs until today. (130)

The runout should be NO MORE than .008. If it is; BEARINGS INSTALLED CORRECTLY! SOME PPL PUT THEM IN BACKWARDS or hammer them bc there to....._____ to do it correctly. I've been replacing bearings every 10 hours for safety. My X ski at 14 hours had one starting to go... a rough spot in it next to the fan and it left a little oil in the tube. There's your sign, oil or dust. Or it's castings and fan and brgs...$600 and a mess to clean up
