RandD cool air filter?
Does adding this filter make a hissing sound when you gas on it. I had it on for like 3 hours before i noticed it. I raced and got smoked by a very highly modded ultra 150 but after the first run i noticed it sounded like a air leak or cold air intake just wondering thanks

Did you add the filter to the surge valve? I added both the cool air filter and put the filter on the surge valve at the same time and I can hear a hissing noise but it's mostly from all the air that is released from the surge valve at idle or high vacuum conditions. If you take the seat off and run it you'll hear all the air coming from the surge valve which used to be hosed back to the air intake.

I thought the cool air filter was the one under the glovebox?

you can get just the under glove filter, or the whole kit which includes the smaller filters for surge and bov. Yes I hear hissing from mine too. But after blocking off the BOV it mostly went away.

I was very pleased with the flat filter. Easy to install. My engine didn't seem nearly as hot after running. My rpm's stayed basically the same the whole time I was out there. I'm still going to install the R&D intercooler kit cause the humidity is going to be coming.
