    Warranty issues...!!!

    Just my luck! Vladimir at PPG called me up saying the ski was ready to be picked up and that I had an $860 balance due!!! Im like WOW! I have warranty, he's like it expired on March! It can't be, I had a two year warranty I said. He said that in the Bombardier records there is only a 1 year warraty in the system!

    I call the dealer that sold it to me, and going through the paperwork they see that nowhere it is stated that I had a 2 year warranty!!! THe only guy that remembers the 2 year warranty being part of the deal is the guy that sold it to me. Now, he told me it would be taken care of but if there is nothing in paper they can just say no right?

    The lady in charge of warranties was gonna talk to the salesguy and ask him about the warranty so hopefully they get their chit together cuz hell is gonna break loose if they dont!

    Call me an idiot but NO! The thing is this was my first jet ski right, since I did not have the registration for about a month I used to take ALL the paperwork to th beach with me just in case a pig pulled me over. As you can imagine all the papers got soaked and are worthless!

    when u get best warranty u should get like a certicate thingy with all ur info and dates of coverage..ect

    I dont know if it was best warranty or no. THe thing is I was gonna buy the ski with RIVA cuz they were giving me the 2 year warranty. I went to this other dealer and they matched the offer and they were 20 mins from my house compared to 45-50 mins from RIVA.

    The sale guy gave me his word he would take care of it. I have taken a few clients to him so he know I'm a good customer. I realy get along with him nice so I hope he does not screw me over cuz someone WILL pay for this and it wont be me.

    Well it seems like its been resolved. The general manager of the dealer spoke with BRP and confesed to his mistake in the transaction and BRP allowed the extra year warranty. It won't be on file until friday next week because they update their warranty files once a week.

    so the dealer just did a bunch of work on your ski without telling u it's not covered and it was coming outa your pocket? no phone call ahead of time with an estimate... jsut here, it's done, come pick it up and give us 800+ bucks?

    i'm glad to hear it got resolved tho.... do you know when the purcahse date was of your machine by any chance? ... and PM me your VIN # if you want... i'm curious to see something on the records for your machine.

    Phew , that was a close one, you dodged the proverbial bullet! Now you should update all your paperwork and keep it on file...
    Glad to hear though it was straightened out!...PR...
