I went down to my stealer(who also carries bass boats and VIPs in addition to the Doos) and bought bunk carpeting. Its basically indoor/outdoor carpeting, except it comes in strips about 18" wide.

We had some left over carpet from re doing the inside of a boat. looks great on the bunks. it is thicker... almost like the carpet you'd see inside a house just marine grade. Not sure if there are any draw backs to that?

You can buy indoor/outdoor carpet by the foot @ Home Depot/Lowes/Menards.

Hydrotoys had replaced the bunks on one of his trailers with the plastic lumber 2" x 4" they sell at Home Depot Lowes etc. No need for carpet again after this. Ski slides on and off easier, I am going to do this on mine next time.

That is a great idea. Removing old carpet, measuring, cutting and stapling new carpet is a pain in the ass.

No issues with pressure marks or scrapes on the hull from the plastic bunk boards?

    Check these bunks out

I ordered a pair of these plastic bunks www.ultimatebunkboards.com for my stand up trailer in California. I won't be able to install them until I visit and install them later this summer and then I'll write up a review with some pics. I've heard the Trex type lumber is not structurally sound enough to be used for bunks but I have no experience. These are reasonably priced and if I never have to replace the boards again and if they allow my superjets to slide off easier it'll be worth the additional dollars.
