    Buckshot carbs

I have a question on my 44mm Mikuni based Buckshot carbs. Are the inlet and fuel return hoses the same as on the stock Mikunis on a 96 XP?

I ask because my 96 isn't firing I am getting spark(Tried looking for spark but wound up shocking the $#!+ out of myself, not once but twice) Fuel is getting to the carbs (get some residue on hands when cranking engine), Rotary valve is spinning. So I'm kind of out of ideas. Ski ran two weeks ago(fuel mixture and idle needed adjusting after adding FPP and Carbs) stopped to pull the plugs and adjust the high speeds and the ski would not fire

Its probally flooded if you have spark & fuel.

Shut off fuel, hold throttle wide open while cranking, clean plugs after 10-15 seconds of cranking..

So as long as I am shocking the P!$$ out of myself I have spark? (I have discovered I have a personal dislike of being the electrical ground)

Just to clarify, you had the Bucks on running, tuning them in, stopped to make an adjustment and it would not refire?

Yes, the sizes are the same unless it has a strange size on a fuel rail or something.

Worx is probably right. Bucks are tempermental on flooding. What size lows are you running?

Running 135s low with two turns out (Sounds pig f'ing rich to me) when I pulled the plugs they were black and oily(again what I beleive to be a sign of being rich)

If black then you probably fouled them. Try a new set and she'll probably fire right up.

Go in to 1.5 turns and see if you can get the plugs to not blacken up. What fuel pressure are you running and what size restrictor jet is in the return line?

Tried new plugs still a no go. Return line is setup like stock(no fuel rail). I will try 1.5 and see if it helps.

Like Worx said it is probably still flooded. Turn off fuel and hold the throttle wide open. Turn over until it starts to fire. It will run awful until it clears out, just hold it wot until it cleans out.
