    Stock Valve Springs

I Have Heard The Problems With The Stock Valve Springs. I Just Wanted To Know If I Should Upgrade Them On My 04 R12x. I Have 145 Hours And Running Strong.

    Thanks.

Replacing the springs on the early models seems to be more important than the later models. Maybe Honda improved their QC as the years went by. Replacing them [any year's] with Nitro's springs is good insurance and eliminates the biggest "weak link" in the Honda engines.

im looking at a 2004 r12x? with almost 400 hours on it and im wondering if i decide to purchase it would it be a prudent investment to get some of these valve springs? from what i have read it dosnt seem like much of a critical issue on the later models but it does have a lot of hours on it.

Make sure you water-test it before you buy it. It needs to be able to turn 6200+RPM for a couple of minutes without backing off or throwing a code with 93 octane fuel.
