The Budget Bomber goes 81 mph!

After months of fooling with props and nozzles, I finally surpassed my best ever for even cheaper than before! Mod list is (prices are approximate):

    Used T3 60 trim turbo from an '85 SVO Mustang - $70
Stainless piping and flanges - $200
Silicon couplers and fittings - $150
    XSPower intercooler - $120
    Tial BOV - $110
    Rude exhaust tip - $120
    Riva grate - $110
    Used 15/20R prop - $175
    IMPROS repitch to 15/24 - $70
    SKAT 81 mm nozzle - $37
    AEM F/IC, 62# injectors, plugs/adapters - $550
    Total - $1715

Today, I ran 81.0 mph with 4 bars of fuel in 90 deg weather at 8100 rpm. My best before was 80.9 in colder weather using a Riva ECU spinning 8400 rpm at 13 psi for $2100. Today, it took 14+ psi to get here, probably due to the heat, weight, and also the turbo running out of steam. Next up will likely be a custom 3 blade prop and larger turbo, as much as I hate to get rid of the very, um... experienced, turbo.

    Mike
