04 GTX 4 TEC Blown Engine?
Over the years, my check engine light came on multiple times and went from dealer to dealer trying to fix it. No one could fix it and it kept happening. The last place I took it said I had a bad engine and needed to replace it. I am not spending four grand to replace the engine. Does anyone have any advice on what to do? Thank You! Pat

what is the check engine for?
get the ski to show a check engine, and press the SET button 5 times and look at the display and remember the code exactly....
the ski starts and runs?
if not, does it crank over?
what does it sound like when it's running (if it does) ... runs and sounds fine, just gives a check engine?
we need more info

Thank You for the warm welcome!
I am from the northern Virginia area and run the ski at Lake Anna. It ran with the check engine light but the response was weaker. Presently, it is in pieces because The shop where I took it said there was no sense in putting it back together when it needed a new engine. The prop and everything else behind the ski is off. The check engine light was for engine overheat. It had this problem for the first three or four years and spent many a day at various shops trying to find someone who could find the problem. I bought another GTX at the same time and it has run with no problems.. Thank you again for the responses. I will do my best to give as much information as I can..
