Keihin CDK2 carbs - no high speed screws

My 96 SLTX 1050 has a keihin tripple set of carbs. None of the carbs have a high speed screw. Is this normal?

Normal, you can have Bruce at Wetwolf drill and install them for you.

Are the high speed screws needed? I'm not looking to boost performance or anything, just trying to figure out why cylinder #1 burned up from running too lean (per our discussion). As far as I can tell from the other posts about the "wash", my other two cylinders are running rich (picture below).

The other two cylinders look GREAT for rec riding.
One great advantage to the high speed adjusters is too get those last few needed RPM's or of course to fatten up that one cylinder and seeing if you can get enough fuel through the system to keep it alive.
I don't remember your carbs or the melt down but it's usually found in the carbs (restriction).

Another common cause could be a crankshaft seal has gone bad. When you get things put back together, ya might want to do a leak down test just to make sure. Otherwise you'll be back to square one in no time.
