    Boating Mag Shootout--RXT Is Winner??

Lets just take a little closer read of Boating Mag's June 08 Shootout. RXT is "SKITTISH in rough water, BIG PRICE TAG, puny fuel tank, needs tools to adjust handlebars, glovebox that will barely hold gloves and no boarding step."

ULTRA is "BEST HULL for choppy water, HUGE bow storage, useful glovebox, broad powerband, big fuel tank, LOWEST PRICE and SHARPEST STYLING."

For clarification, I was responding to forum global announcement that RXT named winner in Boating Mag's Shootout.

Article also said SHO is "best all-around bike for towing and cruising" due to drive by wire features. Also, SHO has best cruising fuel economy and uses regular fuel.

I guess there is something in the article for everyone. I was surprised to see shootout because Boating is usually devoted to regular powerboats only.

OK, so I was cutting and pasting a little bit. There may have been some blurb buried in the fine print somewhere about every measurable performance test or something.

LOL. Yeah, the fine print is always the kicker. Not much more you can say about a ski when you say it wins "every measurable performance test."

Well, see, that's what I was getting at. You could just quote that one line and nothing else. Or you could quote "skittish, harshest ride, big price tag..."

Or you could say that the ski that ran best in chop, had twice the storage, was least expensive and looked the best was the winner.

Oh, you mean immeasurable, subjective criteria (other than storage space and price) which is inherently personal and subject to outside influence? Give me the objective data (every measurable performance test) and I'll make my own choice about the subjective stuff.
