    Skat rebuilt pump

Hey everyone, so today in the mail my pump arrived from skat-trak. Glen did an amazing job with my pump. Before I sent it the bearings were bad and some of the veins were mushroomed.

Well I had Glen do the tripple bearing mod. He cleaned the pump up and made it look better then new. He also installed a aluminum pump cone and cleaned up my prop which had some wear becasue of the bad bearings.

I also ordered and received a new pump shoe today so that will be getting installed this week. I am hoping between the new shoe, rebuilt pump, new carbon seal and ss shaft seal my cavitation issues will finally be solved.

    Anyways here are some pics:

    Will do Jammer!

Humm Snoman I figured Skat would have done that for me since it came all together. What oil should I use? Something like this? http://amsoil.com/storefront/agm.aspx

    Aha,
You might want to check just to make sure they did fill it...You can check through the fill hole or just pull the venturi nozzle off.....Yes the Amsoil will work..I use Royal Purple in mine....

Correct, use a Marine grade gear oil to be safe. Do not use a automotive gear oil. If you start to get some water inside the pump the marine gear oil will hold up to some water the automotive oil will not.

Awesome thanks for the info guys. I will check tonight to see if there is oil in there. If so I wont worry about it but if not I will grab some of that Amsoil Marine Gear oil.

I'm overdue for a pump rebuild, curious as to how much the triple-bearing rebuild cost? And the cone? Good luck with the pump shoe, it looks like alot of fun
