I continue to be dissapointed by my RXP-X!!!!

    I need some advice.

This year i decided to P/X my 06 RXP for a 08 RXP-X on the promise that it offered increased acceleration.

To date i am yet to see where this is?!

The ski has now done 17 hours and on Saturday here in south west UK we did for a change have calm enough sea's for me to race, from standing, my friend on his 07 RXP stock. Now i would like to say there is no difference in accleration!!!! Now i either have a dud RXP-X or there is no noticeable differnce. I have spoken to my dealer who assures me there should be a difference. We are the same age and weight 12 stone.

I would appreciate any of your comments... it is very frustrating that i have changed a my old ski for something that should be faster but does not appear to be any different!!!!!

    In anticipation.

    Tom

Seeing 70 on the speedo, dont have a handheld GPS.

Seeing over 8000 rpm...? Using high octane fuel...

    Thankyou

I don't have any idea where your problems lie, but I had the 06 t/p models also.

My experience with the 08 t-x & p-x is that there is a huge diffence in acceleration just as advertised. Get your craft into the dealer ASAP.

How did you break-in the engine? Did you use the Learners Key? Did you baby the engine? Did you ride it hard?... Ron

Broke the engine in as per instructed. Did not use the learner key as was not told too by dealer. Stretched the engine towards the end of break in. Riding her on the sea does not often allow you to maintain a constant speed which i beleive to be the worst thing when breaking an engine in?

Sounds good - some dealers tell owners to use the Learners key, which is the worst way to breakin an engine. Your breakin sounds good.

Have you checked the oil level? Too much oil will affect performance... Ron

You can't use the speedo. It's worthless. Period.
