    Jims modified Riva Ride Plate

Anybody have this done? What gains did you see from this?

yes, I have it done. The biggest gain will be stock like turning and handling with the speed of a riva plate. Another advantage is it allows adjustability of the angle. If you send it to him it is important to discuss with him where your riva plate is now.

If it sits below the shoe you will accellerate quicker, but have a slower top end. When i finally got the plate above the shoe I picked up 1.6mph over my previous best at the time.

    My mods at the time:
    2nd box eliminated
    cool air kit
    impros impellar and pump mod
    hull that breathes well
    jims plate and wedge
    modified stock air box

stuck at 69.4 with rpms for 71

same as above plate adjusted as I have previous described

    70.9 one week later.

Thanks for the info. I was at 69.2 before I put the plate on and only got to 69.7 with the plate, so it seems like I was right about where you were. I was hoping to be right around 71 after the plate but was let down. I also am not too sure where the ride plate is sitting cause I never had any experience with changing ride plates before. If I took pictures of the bottom of my ski and posted them on here later in the day, could you check them out and tell me what you think of the position of the plate?

I can look. I may or may not be able to tell. I think with photos it will be difficult.

What are your rpms? Rpms was my biggest indication something was wrong.
