Broken broom works for filling ride plate holes.
Any other junk to parts examples out there?

Here's another. Had some scrap 1/8" aluminum. Put a band saw on it, glued rubber sealing for garage doors around the edge, cut a few holes with a coping saw, and found some galvanized carriage bolts. Haven't tried this one yet. Not sure if I should . BTW. Covered the bottom of each washer with rubber cut from an old floormat. This is what happens when you have two kids in college!

I did a po-boy D-plate... not really po-boy though because I had the waterjet guys at work cut it for me:
I wonder how fast someone could get on PoBoy mods??? Homemade sponsons, homemade holeshot kit, homemade pump plug kit, fill rideplate holes, grind down the stock rideplate (hand grind it, no fancy Bridgeport machining), R&D grate (NOT homemade), true the hull, homemade D-plate & cheap-o speed chip, remove a layer of head gasket...
