    2005 GPR Engine Temp Warning

Newb here! I bought an O5 GPR over the winter and my first mod was the D-Plate. I could not find clear communication regarding the need for a resistor to fool the temp sensor, so i bought and installed it anyway. As you might imagine, upon startup I immediatly get the Temp Warning Indicator. Should I remove the resistor and reconnect the temp sensor cable? Anything else I can do to stop the beeping!

Go to radio shack get a 2.2 K OHM. resistor and connect between the 2 wires.
