    RXP stg II burning oil

I'm posting for a friend, he has an '05 RXP stg II, 100 hrs and the #3 plug is wet with oil, and it smokes out the back. It will burn a half quart of castrol 10w40 in an hour and a half.We found out when the oil buzzer went off. He is not riding it any more. Just looking for your ideas? Thanks in advance. He's reading.

check compression... 100 hours on a modded ski, might be time for a rebuild

    ... blow-by

he have a catch can or crankcase vents into the air intake? check your supercharger housing and intercooler and see how badly it's coated in oil if at all

Depends, if it's burning oil but still has the performance, it may be just a valve seal poped up.
    Do a compression test.
Is the ski performing ok? You did not say, just that it was burning oil.

they always run their best right before they blow up

100 hours is alot of runtime on a modded machine, especially if you are an aggressive rider that really beats the livin chit out of the ski out there.

I ride pretty dang hard at times, not all the time, depends on where I"m riding, and if I do alot of wave jumping. My 2 94's have a ton of hours I'd say WAY over 100 one finnaly died, (why I bought the rxp) but the other still runs like its new!

You'd say or you know? Do these machines have properly functioning hour meters, or are you just guessing?

I've found that when people guesstimate- they grossly overestimate the # of hours they put on a ski.

there to old, they didn't have hour meters on them. SO there is no true way of knowing. but there 12 years old and for most of those 12 years they were ridden 3 times a week for at least 2 hrs or more a day. Been to FL for surf riding aswell. I know there are a bunch of hours on them. THey were great. hoping the rxp can last aswell.
