    Error Code P 0500

Why am I getting codes I don't see in the manual??? This is the 3rd time out of about 10 codes. 30% failure rate means I must be missing something. They aren't on the digital (PDF) fault code list in the tech tip section of the forum either.

James, i wish i could be some help but thats not going to happen. Just noticed all the error code threads and starting to worry.
I hope you get the bugs out of it.

fizz, the 0500 is a ghost code. I have had that code several times and then it didn`t come back. just check all your connections and unhook Bat -, set a while and rehook... see what happens... I thought it was DESS related bc after new key it was gone also...

Alright, thanks guys. Cylinder #3 is not looking so good. I have spark, fuel, coils are good. Only two more things to try before I put a pack of c4 under the engine and make a run for it.

I saw this 0500 ghost code apear once then searched every year to find it unsucessfull. then i hooked it to my Buds and it even evaided it. weird. all codes get stored in memory untill you delete them but this was not to be seen. i am at the conclusion that

    A. i drink to much
    B. my ski is spooked
    C. the code is related to the dash instrument only after it wires to mempm so for some reason it doesn`t receive it.

let me know if you can figure this out as it is driving me nuts.
