I am in this process as well. Dont use the GAY key. Keep your RPM's varied dont cruise for long periods of time at same speed or RPM. When you get to WOT do not stay there for more than 20 seconds then allow the motors RPM's to go down slowly......
I know jerry and some others are doing it a little different.
I think they are taking them to WOT for a bit backing them off and repeating that process.
I will do this for 10 hours But I dont think its really a big deal. 5 to 8 might be ok and I have heard after the break in process they are supposed to wake up a little more.

I think your best bet is to wait till Jerry replies because I know his break-in methods have been successful. I believe he lets it idol for about 15-20 mins and then I THINK he does some 3/4 throttle runs and then goes WOT for a couple seconds and brings it down slowly and repeats the WOT process like 15 times. Not sure, hopefully he comes and replies.

This is his quote from the link at bottom. You can also read the whole thing.
Give it a good warm up and then some short 3/4 throttle bursts every now and then for about 10 seconds each. THe rest of the time just vary the throttle. After a few hours step up to bursts of wide open throttle for 10-15 seconds each. After 5 or 6 hours ride it like you stole it
