I think some people are trying to slip the j-pipe into the gibson flange.

I banged my knuckles for a while but found the hump hose was too long.
Perhaps some play between the hull tip and the outlet of the muffler.
If the gap between the two was larger and a longer coupler used, this would creat for a more flexible install.

I agree with bruinsrme. Make the outlet flange shorter on the Gibson. The coupler is plenty long for the RXP install, not sure about how long it is on the RXT install. The only overlap you need is for clamps to grab. Also, try to change the angle of the Gibson inlet flange so the j-pipe and muffler DO mate. Again, I don't know if this change would maintain functionality on the RXT application.

If you change/tweak the design, how about making it so that you do not have to shorten the J pipe end as much?

You Can Only Shorten The Bend Radius So Much. By The Looks Of The Pics It Wont Work, But I Will Narrow It Down On My Delemed 04 Rxp.
