Question 2008 GTX LTD vs. RXT

which would be a better ski to mod, gtx ltd vs. Rxt? Which would pass an ultra 250x faster? I know they have to be almost the same thing....

They are basically the same. Other than top deck, and I am starting to suspect prop as well.

Your 05 has Steel bearings and ceramic SC clutch washers, and yes you should get them changed.

RXT would be the better format really, it's just a little lighter. The same hulls, same motors, etc. But you'll have a weight savings to get a little faster. You'll have to do some serious work to go after the 250x unless you get the RXP-X. In the rough stuff, we can hang pretty good on the 215hp machines, but the 250x still dominates.

Follow the instructions in that thread. Jerry is probably the most experienced Sea Doo S/C rebuilder on earth, and his turn araound is really fast.

You need to do this asap!! It's just not worth waiting and taking a chance on them not failing giving you plenty of headaches.
