Willow Beach ride June 7th, 2008...

Jim (maildude) said a group of people were going to ride Willow Beach, AZ up to Hover Dam. I asked my dad if we could met them and also do the ride. My dad agreed. Jim is the one with the black RXP and GPR. When we stopped to eat lunch, Jim noticed his ski sitting low in the water. Sure enough, we believe the carbon seal failed. He busted out the GPR for the rest of the day. Kristen rides Pro in Region 1 and 2. She is on the RXP-X. She is a bad ass rider! Her friend Will is on the green RXP. My dad is on the RXT.

I had a super fun time. Enjoy the pictures!

Few more pictures. Where Kristen is sitting the water is in the upper 90's. Hot springs! We also rode south of Willow Beach. We saw some goats on the hill. Notice how they blend in?

    Fun times!

Very nice! I live in Las Vegas but have never made it to the other side of the Dam. After looking at these pictures it makes me want to go.

Awesome pictures - thanks for the post

I always enjoy your threads with pictures from Lake Mead and Hoover Dam. I spent four days on Lake Mead last year and had a fantastic time.

Concerning the trip to the dam, I tried to do that once but it was not the right time of year. As I recall, PWCs and boats with 50+ HP are banned for most of the year - there's just a small window of time when they're allowed.

Were you able to ride up-river at speed, or is there a speed limit in place?

We were hauling ass. North of Willow is opened between Memorial Day and Labor Day. During this time you can't go north of Willow on Sunday and Monday.

    Thanks for the information.

On my last trip to Lake Mead I took my RX-DI to Willows and was ready to launch it when I read the sign regarding the restrictions. Sadly, I was about two weeks too early and I couldn't take the trip. I was never certain about whether there were any speed/wake restrictions.

Thanks again for the pictures and the information.
