Rotax Oil Pressure Jet, necessary to pull the head off?
Is it necessary to take the head off to install Rotax Oil Pressure Jet that used to come in the stg 1 kit or just the valve cover?

You have to pull the head.

damn to think that you can install the retainers without removing the head.
Is installing the retainers a lot easier with the head off compared with it on or about the same thing, the oil jet and retainers are going in at the same time obviously.

no i just ordered all the stage 3 parts and they just added the retainers and clutch washers to the kit. Im pretty sure once I reomove the head it will be easier to do the retainers but want to make sure that there is less work involved with retainers considering the oil jet

Getting the oil jet out is the hardest part. Must be a special tool for this. After pulling the plastic out and the ball, Put a woodscrew thru a socket and screw pull it out.

I use one of those slide hammer dent pullers with a screw on the end. Just thread it in and carfully pull the slide hammer back and it comes right out.

Huh? I have been running lighter retainers for 90 hours without a problem. I've never heard of anyone else having a problem either.
