Drc Member Falls Victim To 800 Grate

TheDome just sent this picture to my phone. He is in Morgan City making final adjustments for Mudbug. It happened at about 65mph, right when he was going to slide back into superman. He was on the seat when it happened. He did not come off but went for a wild ride. He hit the glove box & handle bars hard but he is ok. He noticed yesterday and today his speeds were fluctuating alot between runs a mph or more and its always very consistent. We suspect it was flexing causing the the inconsistent speeds. He checked it between every run. It must have had a crack on top or cracked while he was on the water. LET THIS BE ANOTHER REMINDER HOW IMPORTANT THE SS GRATES ARE FOR OUR SAFETY. Thankfully GOD kept him on the ski. If it would have broke at 80+ in superman he would most likely be in the Morgan City hospital instead of the bayou's this weekend.
