    Polaris Racing

Did they make any racing edition models? Ones that actually say Polaris Racing on them?

The 2 closest would be the PRO785 and Octane.
The PRO785 was very competitive in the stock class with little to no mods. You could hop on in the novice class and do extremely well.
The Octane wasn't even technically for sale to the public and required a license to purchase if I'm not mistaken.
Both models had painted number squares.

Well, that answers my question. We've got a 1994 SL750 that we bought for $750 for the PWC and trailer and it says polaris racing on the hood and has a racing flag decal job that goes all the way from the front to the back that gets lighter as it goes back. So I'm guessing that somebody along the line modified it and put this decal job on it. We also think they modified the engine because there is a Boyesen Power Reeds sticker on the hood and the intake looks different than what I've seen in manuals.

Their decal job is fading and falling apart anyways, so we are thinking about sanding it down and painting it.

A photo of current condition, or of what it will look like? I can't get a current condition photo because it is at my roommates house right now and he won't be back from South Carolina until saturday.

Here's kind of what it will look like. We might also add a ghost gold pearl to the red, but we are going to add gold flake. This is going to be a winter project though.
