How to remove Drive Shaft 98 GTX - Without C-clip
I have a 1998 GTX Limited that has the straight boot/protection hose (not accordian) and the shaft without a c-clip. How does this drive shaft remove? It has a needle bearing (#10 in phot0) in the seal carrier (#15). There is no C-clip visable or shown on the parts list. My ski is leaking like crazy through the seal carrier and I need to pull it. Motor mounts checked OK. Drive shaft will not pull out.
Thanks for your help!

Thanks for the reply! Ok, The PTO boot is clamped with one of those funky Oetiker Clamps. Looks like it requires a tool to install or remove. I guess I'll just cut the clamp off and replace with a stainless hose clamp.

Yes, you can unhook the clamp with a small 1/8" blade screwdriver. Take off the small one, and replace with a zip-tie.

Removed the clamp and pulled a bent shaft. Anyone have a used 272000901 shaft available?
