    '04 GTX SC electrical problem

A friend of mine has the 04 gtx sc and it keeps draining the battery.

You can hear the tops valve click on and off even with the lanyard disconnected. He took the electrical connector off of the tops valve and it still drains the battery.

    Anyone have any ideas?

It could be a number of things but check dess switch first then the rectifier there the main causes of battery drain.

ok, so with the TOPS valve plugged in, you hear it clicking and clicking... when u pull off the wires going to it, no more click click.... but still killing the battery...

is it the original battery? if so, i'd start with a new battery bc the battery might be toasted from the abuse the tops valve put on it. get a fresh new battery, install it with the tops valve disconnected.... if it holds the charge no problem for a few days, then put the tops valve connector back on, if it's still clicking away, replace the TOPS valve... we've replaced a few on those model years
