    ebay seat covers any good?

Anyone buy one of the 65 dollar seat covers on ebay? I'd like to try and purge out all the pink color stuff on a 95 SL 750. Thinking of ordering the hydroturf mats in black, as well as a black seat cover.

    thanks
    Eric

Go to a labric store and get some vinyl. Beerdart gave me what he had left from his seat and I'm really happy with the results on mine.

also when you remove the old cover and re warp it....do the holes from the old staples cause any problems since the seat is plastic and the holes stay in??

Do not remove the old seat cover. Just put the new cover over it.

I can take come pictures tomorrow and post them up. The hardest spot is in the front where it curves in for the dash but if you take your time you will be fine. My cover is nice and tight with no wrinkles.

Just pick up some marine grade fabric and staples and cover it. I bought one of those ~$60 ebay covers for my slx780, it really was just a piece of fabric cut to the right shape with staples- I was expected something with various seams for a real good fit. With some stretching and a heat gun, however the seat did come out quite nice but if I were to do it again i would have just cut the fabric myself and it would have been the same thing for half the price. I did remove the old cover before installing the new one...
