just got my kanaflex and it's not smooth bore

the moreland site had a catalog page for it that said smooth bore.. this crap is high temp gutter hose. It's 12 sq inches of area so it'll flow in spite of that but i hate something that says smoothbore coming in corrugated bore like this.

3.5" ID hardpipe would give me the same usable smooth flow, imo. The rubber hose will insulate against heat better though.

I'm good with it, I'm just disappointed in the bore.

I NEVER LIKED THE KANAFLEX FOR THIS VERY REASON. I DONT THINK THAT IT WILL FLOW AS GOOD AS SOMETHING SMOOTH.

It is a smoother bore than Lowes drain hose. A lot of guys are using it with success. It's the smoothest bore we found that's flexible. Here's an alternative but it's overkill.

I think you guys are misinterpreting the terminology. It will not be smooth like a piece of pvc. They design it so that all the grooves and seams allow the air to flow without turbulence. Trust me, if it's Kanaflex brand an engineer way more knowledgeable in this area than any of us designed and tested the hose. I have met some of the guys. If on the outside of the hose it has the word flow and an arrow it is smooth bore. Make sure the air is flowing the correct way through the hose. No flow arrow then it is not smooth bore.
