15f exhaust/waterline mod?
Does the primary waterbox mod (drill hole) really make that much of a difference from just eliminating the secondary box? or has anyone just done the waterline, secondary bypass, without drilling the hole?

yea, a lot of people just do the waterline mod and remove the secondary waterbox and leave the primary alone. but in my eyes, if you're spending the money, you might aswell do the whole thing.

to me its just a pita to cut & weld the primary and then remove the 2nd box. i am going to just bypass the secondary and keep the primary as is. i am doing it just for the sound. i think i will even keep the secondary sitting in there, just in case i have to go for warranty and put everything back.

I eliminated the seconday waterbox, but didn't modify the primary. The ski sounds really good right now with a low rumble but not to loud. How much different is the noise level if you mod the primary, and how much do you gain by doing so?

idk how much of a gain there is, but it sounds INCREDIBLE!! for a N/A 4 banger. of course it would sound better with the whine of tubro under the seat, but it sounds real deep and throaty. where im from there is no worry about being too loud as many of the boats are speedboats running straights out the back. but running by a beach at full throttle everybody notices. this sucker howles right at 5500 rpms, thats where i think it sounds best at.

so what exactly does this do? will it work on a 12F? and how does it affect idle sound/ speed?
