    Advise needed. Ethenol free Gas

We are making 250 miler up the Mississippi River and can't find any marinas selling 91+ octane. Most have 87 or 89 octane Ethenol free. Will this be ok until I find the good stuff?????

    Thanks!!

do you have any access to toluene? I think that's how you spell it. Just throw a gallon or two in there and it'll bring you up to 91+. It should be found at a local hardware store.

To the best of my knowledge it's one of the best "actual octane boosters" out there....

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toluene

Just a snip from wiki, "
Toluene can be used as an octane booster in gasoline fuels used in internal combustion engines. Toluene at 86% by volume fueled all the turbo Formula 1 teams in the 1980s."

Does anyone run this stuff in the ski? I have a RXT-X and used to run Toluene in turbo cars and it was fine, just new to the ski's.

Careful if you run that stuff. Most of it will soften paints and plastics (don't spill it when filling). The plastic tank will likely be ok, but the body panels and paint probably won't like it too much.

Agreed, keep it off the ski and skin. You will find it in gas right now.
