    gp1200r trips? do i need a cdi?

    If i get trips(2001 gpr1200) do i need an advent/protec cdi or can it be done with stock ..i have a protec,,,,
    BUT i am a polaris guy I BE FLYIN BLIND HERE

    I would go with the Advent, you're going to need to bump up the rev limiter and you can also add a custom curve.

    I don't know for sure but I'm going to say NO. That timing curve only goes up to 7500 rpm's, trips need to run 7700+. Your talking about building a triple pipe monster, go with the advent or don't get off the porch .
