tested N8R's keel mod
I have an 05 gpr I bought new, Fercho package and stuck at 74, 75 with a bad bounce. I have tried everything, the only setup that stops it is the taps shimmed 120 ths down but I loose speed. Tested the keel mod with no taps and full tank of fuel. WOW no bounce past 45 and no side to side. It runs so straight it takes alittle more to make it turn. Some of the bounce returned when I got down to 2 bars but maybe now I can put my FF plate back on and shim it for some more speed.
I don't see any better hole shot but when I return home I found that the jetwork valve was bad and wide open.
If you have the bounce ( Porpoising ) you need to try this thing it's great IMO

Can't wait 80.1 with the plate at .780" should improve when the plate starts heading back towards .950"

does anyone have a picture of where exactly it installs to?

I don't think Nate wants anyone to post pics of it installed. It goes on the keel (right before the intake grate) on the hull.

it attaches to the hull and against the backside of the keel. I witnessed Mikey's ski from day one till he did the mod. Definately a huge improvement over what he's had in the past. Well worth it if you have porpoising problems.
