In no wake zones, whats your AVG MPH?

What do you guys cruise at. I cruise at 2-3-4MPH and it seems all the boats are still passing me. Do you guys go faster?

I travel at about 3 to 4 mph, any faster than that you start pushing alot of water.

2 - 4 in a no wake, 5 in a minimum wake. No matter how slow I go my ski, 2001 XLT1200, makes huge wakes, it's rediculous how much water it pushes at low speeds. I do see boats going faster and making much less a wake.

thats the oddest thing isnt it? My RXT at idle made a bigger wake than my boat does at idle. I am sure there are physics behind it but for now it boggles my mind.

Technicallly speaking, you're supposed to just "idle" through, but with our RXP, that damn thing idles fast as hell. Seriously, you have to tinker with the Reverse and Neutral modes on the ski just to idle. Our Kawasakis are totally different and are actually "slow" when at idle. Honestly, I just go "slow" through No Wake Zones, but actually do create small wake. It's almost impossible not to, IMO. Just hope you don't have jackass Game Wardens in your area, as they may fock with you if you're not basically crawling.

I keep up with who ever is in the middle of the pack. Mine makes huge waves at idle so I like to get it almost on plane so it stops the ripple effect a little.

The RXT's idle speed is quite fast, in fact we have been harassed by law enforcement for it.

Some signs in Florida say NO WAKE, but the ones in our lakes say MINIMUM WAKE.

I was going through a canal one day with my hand off the throttle.
Well, I came around the bend and had an officer all over me, yelling at me to slow down... I laughed at the guy, took my hands off the handle bars and showed him NO THROTTLE, I told him sorry man this is my minimum wake, the sign does not specify a speed, it says MINIMUM WAKE.

At that point he looked me straight in the eyes and told me I would have to take my PWC to the shop and have them slow down the idle speed.

I said, "uhhh, yes sir, okay I'll do that."
