    Question Oil Pump

I brought my 2000 RX to the mechanic on Saturday after having the carbs rebuilt because after I installed them I have having some trouble with the idle. In the midst of adjusting it, the engine seized. Luckily, after some time for cool down and with the mechanics help, we got it running again but it came to be that the oil pump is not functioning properly. What he told me to do was clog the oil lines and then pull the pump out of the equation. Now my question to you guys is whats the best way to do this? What is my best way to get that pump out?

P.S. To compensate for the loss of the pump, he gave me an oil/gas ratio to run from now on.

Heres a little twist now, I just got the ski running again and itis smoking nowshowing that it is getting oil. What do you guys think I should do? Go ahead and still make it a premixonly or leave it alone and put a slight premix in? And again, if I should make it a premix only, how do I do so?
