R&D Intercooler Kit
How long does it take to install? Does anything have to be pulled out besides the intercooler?

Yes you have to pull the pump also.......... it should take @ 2-4 hours depending on your wrenching skills................

Thanks! I've had no time due to working my @ss off at work, so I took it to my mechanic cause I wanted to have it done before I take a little vacation to Deep Creek Maryland. My appointment was scheduled for last saturday and I told them that I had to have it by today. Of course, they didn't even start working on it till today. I'm starting to dread what my bill is going to be. My ski better work when I get it back. Thanks for the response. I myself figured that 4 hours would be plenty of time. Anything more than that and I will be pissed.

After install, did you still have performance losses in the heat and humidity?

Well try this dealer story on for size. They told me it would be done today. Of course its not. He tells me that that don't have the right size bit to tap the pump. They were going to run to home depot to see if they have it and if they don't, he says that they will just use a different size brass elbow. I told him no! R&D used that particular size for a reason. I am correct in my assumption that this would be bad, aren't I?

Are there any true performance gains?
I have the kit and i plan to install it next week.
Its getting very hot now here 40C+.
I am now at 68.3mph.

For what it says about the kit, you get a better holeshot and better midrange. The big thing is that you don't get any performance loss during hot and humid days. I normally lose 2-3 mph and 150-200 rpm's during the hot and humid summer days. Hopefully this is gone.
