Thread: Running Issues...

I took both my ski's out the other day for the first time since lasst year and my Polaris Virage had some issues. I accidently filled the tank before putting it away last winter and didn't get a chance to ride it at all. When I tried to take it out it would max out at about 25-30 then kick up to 40-45 for a couple seconds. Is this because the fuel is degraded? I figured that was the problem so I put some Sta-Bil in the tank when I was flushing it out.

If it were mine, I'd drain the fuel into my car and then top off the tank in the car with good fresh gas.
When is the last time you checked the carbs and fuel line for restrictions? If it's been a couple of years, it's worth pulling the carbs and making sure they are clean. You'll be able to smell if the fuel is getting old once you open the jet cover.
I guess I should have asked if you're injected or carbed, 700 or 1200?
