    Gauge mirror bracket

Look at the new gauge bracket I got for my boost gauge. It was a gift from JFizzleJr for some work I did for him. It's from Rad 4 Racing. Looks slick. Got to figure a way to mount it in my mirror frame. Black aluminum.

My stock ic block off was not tapped so I drilled and tapped an 1/8 pipe thread into it and installed the little barb that comes with the gauges. Jerry's 4-tec manifold blockoff comes already tapped. I run the little nylon tube from that to the gauge. I have not installed the gauge yet. It's hooked up and when I want to read it I just lay it outside the hood cover and use it there. I keep it stored, but still hooked up, in the front storage bins on the side of the bucket in a sealed plastic bag. I'll be installing it permanetly soon.

How did the install go Larry? I am contimplating where to mount my boost guage now. Not sure if I want it in the mirror or somewhere else. I kinda want it on the hull somewhere so the boost gauge tube doesnt have to constantly frex with the hood opening and closing. I havent seen to many other options though. Searching the forum it seems the mirror pods are most common. How does the mirror come off?

    Gus..
To take the Mirror off you need to open the top storage compartment and take out the black bucket..Once the bucket is out reach back and up into the mirror housing. You will feel a wing nut..Unscrew the wingnut and the mirror will come out..Be careful there is a tention spring behind the wing nut..It comes out also..But thats it..Pretty easy..

    opps..My bad..Sorry..

I just looked at the micro fishe and maybe some of the RXT boyz could chime in here,But from what I can see the hood has to be split..Once the hood is split then there are two bolts that hold the mirror pods on..Once you take them two bolts out the pods should come off,Then you can unscrew the wing nuts and pull the mirrors out..
