best trim tabs?
which ones give more speed?
1- stock plastic ones
2- stock metal ones
3- aftermarket ones
4- cut/shortened metal aftermarket ones

Stock will be fastest, but some people shim them down a bit to reduce porpoising, at the expense of a few tenths of an MPH up top.
And I believe that the plastic and aluminum stock tabs are identical, just different materials. Aftermarket tabs are thicker.

- Aftermarket tabs are thinner.
- Plastic tabs flex so shimming is not desired.
- Cut aftermarket tabs have yielded good results
- OEM aluminum tabs have yielded good results

aftermarket are thicker. 2000-2002 OEM metal track well with the grooves.

R&D tabs are .150 thicker on the outer edge and .030 thicker on the inner edge than the stock plastic tabs.
