    Oil dipstick question

    Ok, maybe I'm reading the manual backwards but it looks to me that the "hot" reading on the stick is lower than the "cold" reading. Doesn't oil expand when it warms??

    Also, you might "alternate notch" the nubby seals on the stick to prevent possible air compressing inside tube from affecting level. Similarly, you could size a drop ceiling wire to use as a stick to check. Somebody had did a write up on that somewhere since a replacement dipstick is ~$30
