Ultra 250 wins down under "Australia"

A stock class 08 ultra250 won the Somerset Dam 400km enduro outright.

This was a two day event doing an obvious 200km per day. The Jet ski World prepared Ultra was the only boat to do a single fuel stop on each day and this was a large contributing factor to the win.

Two rxpx's were a few mph faster but both had to do two fuel stops then suffered from sc clutch failures.

Also, the same ultra250 was brought home 3rd in the closed course racing on Sunday arvo by sixteen yr old Glen Nirwin from Indonesia in his first ever ride of a 250X, the first moto being from a delayed start due to the race organisers valid concerns of Glens abilities to safely race.

These concerns were quickly dispelled when Glen went from last to third using very mature use of the splits, sensibly agressive riding and sheer natural talent.

Yep, bumpers can be replaced under ijsba rules.

It's a self adhesive strip of rubber that can be bought at local auto parts stores. They come with a coloured strip in the middle that can be peeled off.

Believe it or not, the ultra requires approx 24 ft of the stuff to do a lap around the boat!!!!
