NEW CAMERA!! So here are some pics of my Race Tech kit
I need to figure out how to post vids...Problem is that when I record them they are like 20 megs when I put a 10 second clip on my computer...So you guys have to help me out here...Ok here is the goods...
I am hitting the rev limiter hard!!! almost instantly...I am seeing 71.5-72 mph on my gps constantly..I think I might hit 73...If I can get my prop right...I also get prop spin out of the hole...My air temp yesterday was about78-80..I think..we have a better way of telling temperature up here..It was about 24-25 degrees on my trucks thermometer...Water temp was about 68 degrees as well.. For those of you who want to know how the thru hull sounds...It sounds sweet!!..Mark also modified my water box for convieniance and sound..Lol He shortened it and ran some pipe out of the top straight back to the exhaust outlet.. By the way I think he sells his thru hull for less than Riva..His Intercooler pipe looks wild..It is brushed alluminum with a clear coat on it so when you look at it it reflects some funky colour..It also only takes 15 mins to install...And yes I did have my engine parts painted to match my boat...I was going to get my valve cover polished but the goof wanted 250 bucks to do so...

Mike, that looks SWEET!!!
What prop are you using? If it's not a Solas I think you should seriously consider trying one.

I know I hear good things about the solas...But first I want to max out my stockie...Just to see what I actually can get out of it..Jerry can you explain how to shrink a vid to post on here..Then you guys will get an Idea of how a thru hull exhaust system sounds...By the way I believe the thru hull I have is produced by Nills Castilo...Very Quality stuff!!!! And I probably even spelled his name wrong..I like spelling things how they sound... I kant spel gud!!!

Hey Mike, yes that thru hull fitting is one of Nils Castillos. So are the ones Riva is using.
Mike, im no video expert. I must have done something wrong when saving mine and posting it as not everyone is able to view it
Hopefully an expert will chime in and teach us a thing or two.
I had no idea Mark was making thru hull exhaust systems. You should mention to Mark that he should take a more active part in this forum. It would be a good way for him to shed some light on what he has to offer.

Look at all that room! Very nice set-up! Is that the "race waterbox?" Something only the Stage III's should/benefit from running?

Also Mike, i was stuck on the stock prop too. Someone begged me to try a Solas. I was skeptical as Rotax Racing exclusively used the stock prop.
Once i tried the Solas I never looked back. The acceleration is leaps and bounds better than the stock prop.
Do yourself a favor and try the Solas on your ski!

Mark custom fabed that water box..After the race box...Basicaly almost anything you can find for sale for our boats....Mark can Re-produce for less cost...Same quality if not better....I will take you up on the solas though Jerry...Just to see what it will do on the GTX..I think my thru hull kit was alot less than the other guys sell it for..I will be taking vids of my boat tomorrow for you to post...I will e-mail you if I can shrink them down from 20 megs...
