X MODEL RIVA Intake Manifold Upgrade Kit
Any one tried the new Riva Intake Manifold Upgrade Kit for 2008 X models Seadoos? i hate to cut a hole in the intake manifold. Is it worth it? claim it increases boost 1#, is that enough to make much difference?

ive done it and you feel a difference when cruising at 4000rpm and then nail to WOT. it worth it. and the block off is top quality. and also apparently 1 more pound of boost so with an rr wheel and space it will be possible to get around 13psi once upgraded ecu.

Do it yourself via the intake side...takes some time, but saves you $150. I did the free method via the throttle body that took me 20 mins. I noticed better throttle response.

Can anyone help... when installing this Riva kit... do i have to remove the intake manifold?? im seriously thinking about doing it, but i dont want to remove the manifold... is there away???

I removed the flame arrestor an saw no extra speed. Acceleration may have changed but to little to notice an increase. You WILL have to remove the intake.
I am still fighting to pass 73....

Who has done this mod? Whether it's using the Riva mod or DIY version. I'm curious what initial reactions people are having when they first take it out on the water.
I did the DIY version and it seemed to be more bland across the RPMs, as if there was actually some torque loss and it almost seemed to accelerate less quickly. Would the ECU compensate for this difference in pressure and it just needs some time to configure?

^^^thats weird. i was gonna do the DIY way but have not really seen the "Oh man, you gotta do this" kinda thing..so i probably wont.
