    Rideplate question

I skimmed about 100 posts and could not find an answer.

The seadoo manual shows that the silicone to seal the rideplate to the hull only goes back about as far as the front most bolts or slightly beyond. Is there any benefit in sealing the sides of the rideplate all the way to the back.
Could this cause an overheating issue as it will prevent water from getting to the top of the rideplate while on plane.

    Thanks

Why don't you try it and report back to the group? Then we will all know... Ron

When I installed my Jims plate, I siliconed the "triangles" and between them like the manual shows and I also did along the sides all the way to the end of the plate.
