    GH Waterbox install

I guess I didn't do enough research before installing the GH waterbox. I missed the part about the waterline bypass. I am going to order the pisser to do this, but is it necessary? I had planned on riding this weekend and I don't think it will be here by then? Also is there a place to mount it so it wont be visible?

You can mount it anywhere you want, I've seen it mounted near the rear tow hook. Some have mounted it in the pump area, opposite the OEM exhaust outlet...Or you can get a simple brass barbed fitting from a hardware store and tapped the GH exit tube to mimic the OEM setup...

I mounted mine in the pump area out of sight. Just depends on where you would like it. Some just block that line off and run the water thru the exhaust system, I still prefer to dump it with the pisser. I am sure you would be fine to block it off with a bolt so that you could ride until you you can order and receive the pisser fitting.

So I can just take the T fitting out that feeds the Bypass line and couple the two lines together?

Sure, that would be the same as blocking that line off. You will just be running more water thru the exhaust.

I run a pisser under the left side rub rail near the front..This way i can watch to make sure water is going thru the system..

I just realized when I got home from work to work on the ski that I don't think I need to block off any lines. My 07 RXT had stock exhaust and there wasn't a waterline going to the exhaust tip. Is this right?

I had a little piece of aluminum pipe(basicly a barb) welded into the last section of the GH box right before it connects to the through hull tip, and connect that water line to that. Welding was $20.

I just left the bypass line in the stock location. I was confussed cause all the threads were people with RXP's. I can't wait to test my mods this weekend. I added the 4in intake and the shorty waterbox. Stock I ran 64.7 so we will see how much the mods added. What kind of speed do you think I will see with these mods?
