    Exhaust? RIVA or ROTAX ?

I was reading a post about the RIVA exhaust, and it melting. I was looking on www.4-tecperformance.com and saw there are 2 options,

Which one to choose? I still see post about people ordering the Riva. 2 Logical points that make me think the rotax is the way to go...it's metal...and its less expensive.

Can someone school me on the diference.

I dont believe that the Rotax exhaust is cheaper for the full exhaust kit, I think you where looking at the riva replacement pipe. But if I where buying now I whould go with Rotax for peace of mind. An added bonus also MORE STICKERS

Both kits do the same thing. I prefer the Rotax because it's metal. One less thing for me to worry about. You will pay a little more for the metal.

Yep, go with the Rotax.....Being metal was the biggest factor for me prior to my purchase. After reading the posts about the Riva one melting, it made me feel that this was the right way to go. Even if the Rotax was slightly higher in price, I'd rather pay the extra few dollars for metal.

Besides one is thru hull...whats the difference? I think thats where I got the idea that the rotax was cheaper.

The plastic to alum. converion pipe doesn't come with the thru hull fittings it is only a metal replacement for those that have already used the RIVA plastic pipe.

PPG has the black powder-coated thru-hull replacement pipes in stock now. $180. Jerry probably has them now as well.

I read a post in the past day about someones baffels melting and getting clogged in the exhaust somewhere.

Where are the baffels in the exhaust line? the thing on the port side or the starbord near the rear?
