OEM bearing and washer kit Question for 2006 RXP…..Please help!

OEM bearing and washer kit Question…..Please help!

I am going to have my dealer install the Sea Doo OEM metal washer kit for me in a few weeks when the shop slows down.

    1. How is the OEM kit that Sea Doo just began sending out to dealers to put in SC’s that have blown their ceramics?

    2. Does it come with the proper washers and bearings in your opinion?

    3. I understand that the bearings are ceramic coated and the washers are titanium coated. (I am not sure if I have that right.)

    4. Also is it true after the kit is installed you need to break in the super charger again? He told me I would need to use the learning key for 10 hours after the kit got put in.

Let me know if what I am hearing is correct and if the kit is good.
Thanks so much for helping me out.

Why wait a couple weeks for your dealer to charge you a ton to do it? Jerry (Greenhulk - the site owner) will rebuild your supercharger himself if you send it in.

and no you don't have to use the learner key to "break in" the engine again. just for him saying that I would just send my supercharger to Jerry to rebuild

the OEM rebuild kit does not have ceramic coated bearings. It's the same bearings that we have always had available to us.

Please do not break your ski in using the learners key like your dealer recommended

The reason I am going to use my dealer is that the job is going to be covered under warrantee.

Is the OEM kit any good? What would you change about it?

Does the SC need any re-breaking in after the bearing and washer switch? If so how should it be done?

I would love to use Green Hulk but I am a young guy with not a lot of money and if my dealer is not going to make me pay I would rather see what they can do for me.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Well then, let your dealer make the changes, and don't use the learners key. Just take it easy for a 1/2 hour or so. Then see that you get your normal rpms - 7900 to 8100. If not, the SC was not adjusted properly. Did your ceramic washers fail? If so, did the dealer pull the engine and inspect for oil pump and bearing damage?... Ron
