    My 2 cents on helping your fuel mileage

    2002 quad cab dakota 4.7l
    Ok i didnt start out trying for better fuel mileage,,,but
    I went from 16 to 19 ,,,then 19 to 22
    1st step was superchips--i only got this to get rid of or raise the stock 99mph limiter
    I only used the 89 oct "program" but still run 87
    2nd was just a cone filter on a crome tube (not a true cold air or ram air) just a less restictive airbox if you will,,,and yes my intake is louder than my exh. at WOT -i did this for a better "jump" - I always make lefts onto a 2 lane 55 mph hwy 1 lane each way it can take some people 15 min to get a opening not meeeeeeeeeeee
    now with a total cost of 350 bucks and 40k miles later
    ok so 40k div by 16(mpg)x3.50(a gallon)=8750 bucks
    ok so 40k div by 22(mpg)x3.50(a gallon)=6363 bucks
    now if this didnt make the truck any quicker/faster it was still a good deal
    BUT IT MADE IT MUCH QUICKER/FASTER SHIFT BETTER and i havent needed to go past 125 and find the limiter because i get to that speed so much faster i can complete the passing of a few cars without needing to go into the 120's
    DING DING I KNOW WHAT THE FIRST THING I WILL BUY WHEN I KILL THIS VEC.

    You should look into a vinyl bed cover, they are easy to remove to haul something and add to the trucks looks and highway economy Helped me get my 94 GMC close to 20 mpg on the highway
